The Chesapeake Public Library invites businesses and organizations to participate in a Holiday Tree Gala by decorating a tree and displaying it in the South Norfolk Public Library from December 4, 2014 to January 3, 2015. The Gala event will be held on December 6th from 10 am – 4 pm and will be a family event including visits with Santa, crafts for all ages, as well as holiday treats and music.
The theme is “Christmas Carols,” but tree decorations can feature any design or color scheme. Ribbons are awarded in that category as well others such as “Best Creative” and “Best Traditional” plus a “People’s Choice” vote.
