Historic South Norfolk Tour Map now available

Using historical data from Raymond Harper and his books, the South Norfolk Historic Tour Map has been published as a Valentine’s Day present to the people of Historic South Norfolk. The project, begun in 2015, has been kept under wraps as the map points were charted. We had hoped to make a phone application from the data, but were unable to afford the annual cost. New sculpture saw its shadow!

Today, the shiny new sculpture at Lakeside Park saw its shadow, and all of South Norfolk is hoping for an early spring! The new replica sculpture, made of shiny silver materials, was fabricated by the city of Chesapeake Parks and Rec, the South Norfolk Ruritans, Buddy and Robbie Davis, Andy Overton, Keith Brazil and Gardner Perry — all life-long residents of South Norfolk.
