South Norfolk named ‘Children’s Champion’

The entire community of South Norfolk has been named 2017 Children’s Champion by ForKids, South Norfolk’s newest corporate neighbor and Virginia’s largest provider of services to homeless kids and families, as part of the organization’s annual Phoenix Awards promoting positive social change. There will be an awards luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1401 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, and YOU are invited to attend. ForKids seeks to invest $11M+ in South Norfolk

ForKids, the state’s largest service provider, hopes to build an $11M+ headquarters on the old library property at 1100 Poindexter St. in South Norfolk by 2019.
