5th Annual Back to School Giveaway and Carnival
The Buffalow Family and Friends community will be hosting a food and fun-filled day at 513 B St. on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. Backpacks and school supplies will be given away, but children must be present to receive them. Potluck Pit-nic Social
The Pit Bull Awareness Coalition, of South Norfolk, invites you and your well-behaved dogs to join them for their favorite summer social from 1-4 Aug. 23 at the Chesapeake City Park off Greenbrier Parkway, Shelter #18, rain or shine. Bring a friend, 2- or 4-legged, something to share, and enjoy the afternoon with other pit bull dog lovers. Please be sure dogs are leashed and up to date on vaccines.

South Norfolk Neighborhood Watch
The neighborhood watch will meet 7 p.m. at the South Norfolk Memorial Library. The agenda includes crime stats, crime updates, new crime concerns, national night out update, community garden update, and lakeside park.
